It’s been quite a normal week the highlight being trying to book a maple syrup tour with a Chinese company! I went through an ordeal trying to communicate with the Chinese and I would have rather phoned a Maltese government department!  The calls involved the following conversations…

Today we’re going around Toronto. We get a metro day pass and head to Casa Loma  – the former house of an English Sir something…forgot the name!
 
Then to the CN tower…it the highest observation tower in the world – with an amazing view of Toronto! There’s also a part of it with a glass floor [...]

Its our Niagara Falls Tour Day. At first we head towards a winery for a supposedly ‘winery tour’ which turns out to be a simple invitation to buy wine. We learn that  Niagara is popular place for producing ice wine – grapes are grown in winter in temperatures of -5 to -20.

We’re off to Toronto this weekend so I leave work early at 5pm to catch the 9pm flight. There’s a delay at the airport and then we’re told they need 20 people to volunteer to take the next morning flight because the flight was overbooked…..no it does not only happen in Malta!!

Its time to get serious and draw up a personal profit and loss account…..and I just wish I was working in a deserted place in the middle of nowhere with no shops, no entertainment, no places to visit!

Its snowing again in Montreal and Mariestell was about to have a great fall on the way home!
 

Oscars are coming soon – and our firm will be celebrating 75 years of counting Oscar ballots. For the past 75 years members of the firm (in the USA) have been the very first to know the results of the big night!!!

Its time for grocery shopping again….maybe this is the last big one?
